2026 Easter Sunday 5km Race & 1km Fun Run

New for 2026, the Active Fakenham Team Challenge Shield adds an exciting competitive element to our popular Easter Sunday 5K Run Day.
This challenge is designed specifically for local businesses and community groups to come together, get active, and enjoy the event atmosphere.
Please note: This is a business & community team challenge and is not open to running clubs.
How the Team Challenge Works
Teams can be as large as you like.
The first three finishers from each team will have their times combined, and the fastest overall team will be awarded the:
ACTIVE FAKENHAM 5K TEAM CHALLENGE SHIELD
✔ Teams of any size ✔ Combined team times ✔ Individual lap times for all runners ✔ Run, jog or walk - all abilities welcome
Who can enter?
The Team Challenge is open to:
✔ Local businesses ✔ Community groups ✔ Clubs & organisations
Not open to running clubs
The Winning Team
• Keeps the shield for one year
• Receives a trophy to retain
All Participants Receive
Every runner enjoys the full Easter Sunday experience, including:
- Finisher’s Medal
- Fantastic event atmosphere
- Closed road town centre route
How to Enter
Simply register as an individual runner and add your team name in the:
Team Entry Box during registration.

1K Fun Run – Community Group and Club Participation
Exciting News for Our Easter Sunday Fun Run! 🏅
We’re delighted to introduce a brand-new addition to this year’s event.
Local clubs and community groups are invited to take part in the 1K Fun Run, showcasing their organisations and activities as part of this fun, community-focused day.
Participating groups will start from the back of the 1K Fun Run and are welcome to hand out leaflets or promotional materials along the route.
Please note: While promotion is encouraged, fundraising during the run is not permitted.

- Fakenham Girl Guides
- Fakenham Air Cadets
- Fakenham Walking Rugby Club – Passing a rugby ball along the route
- Fakenham Ospreys Canoe Club – Carrying a canoe
