Fakenham Arts Festival 2026 brochure launched

The brochure for Fakenham Arts Festival 2026 is now available online, giving residents and visitors an early look at a month-long celebration of creativity across the town.
Organised by Active Fakenham, the festival will take place from 1 to 28 August 2026 and will feature over 45 artists displaying work in 60 venues across Fakenham.
Printed copies of the brochure will be available in shops, businesses and venues during July, and will also be delivered to homes in Fakenham and nearby villages.
The festival will bring art into shops, businesses, community spaces and public areas, creating a free town-wide arts trail for residents and visitors to enjoy throughout August.
Richard Crook from Active Fakenham said: “Fakenham Arts Festival is about bringing creativity into everyday places and encouraging people to explore the town in a new way. We are delighted that so many artists, venues, volunteers and supporters are helping to make the 2026 festival possible.”
New for this year, Active Fakenham will also be showing biographical arts films about Frida Kahlo, Caravaggio, Turner and Constable at Fakenham Central Cinema, adding a film element to the festival programme.
Another new feature will be an art space in the passageway in the Upper Market Place. The passageway has been redecorated and Active Fakenham has arranged for it to be lit from 5pm until 11pm, creating a new public space for art in the town centre.
Active Fakenham is also working with Fakenham Community Centre to organise and fund a theatre experience for Years 1 and 2 from Fakenham Infant School, helping younger children enjoy live performance as part of the wider festival programme.
There will also be a free community arts trail with eleven stops across the town, a prize draw and free packs for children, encouraging families to explore the festival together.
