All races will be on closed roads round the picturesque North Norfolk town centre.
The circuit is a1km loop. Active Fakenham is able to host this event with the assistance of our local East Coast riders club and others from around Norfolk.
The town centre will be closed to traffic for the day. Events include British Cycling licensed cycle races for various ages and abilities. Local organisations will be running food stalls with plenty of food and activities. This is a great spectacle to watch with pubs and cafes fronting directly onto the course.

Rider Terms and Conditions
Please note that the closing date for entries to the 2019 Criterium races is Sunday 14 April. We will post successful entrants on the website and social media on Monday. If there are spaces, we will take entries on the day.
Numbers will be limited to 45 per race as the one-kilometre course is challenging with some tight corners, narrow roads and various surfaces, but with some fast straights and slight hills.
Electronic Race Results by Norfolk Cycle Race Judging will ensure that every rider is given a finishing position using the MyLaps Transponder System. A transponder will be attached to the front forks. As a result, even if there are spaces, entries on the day may not be accepted.

When you register a box will pop up asking you to enter your transponder number. Simply enter HIRE if you do not have one. This will need to be paid for on the day.
Transponders can be purchased from www.mylaps.com/en/products/prochip-flex/241 or from norfolkcycleracejudging@yahoo.co.uk up to 7 days prior. They can be hired on the day for £5. Transponders can be used at other race meetings using the MyLaps system.
Youth categories are A, B, which is U16, U14, respectively. Unfortunately, we are unable to run other age groups this year. See the BC rules for details.
Points Band is simply the points that get allocated to that event. Again, the points given to any race are explained in the Tech Regs.

These websites provide information about parking in Fakenham. Please note that there will be limited or no access to some car parks as some roads will be closed. Last year both Tesco and Aldi kindly turned off their cameras (TBC) for the day to allow free parking and we will be talking to them again this year.
Insurance? The event has £10 million liability insurance. This does not cover damage to your bike or theft of your bike or personal property; you are advised to have your own insurance for this.
What happens if I get an injury? We have taken every step to ensure that the ride is as safe as possible. You are responsible for your personal safety on the public road. We will have MED-PTS

Parking is available nearby, some of which is free.
Please be polite to the marshals and other helpers who are volunteering and giving up their time to make this event a success.
