New for the 2018 Active Fakenham’s Easter Sunday Fun day this race is for under-fives. They can bring a tricycle, balance bike or make their way round the course on foot. It’s a fun, non-competitive race round the traffic-free town centre course. Every child gets a free goody bag and medal. Places are limited, and a responsible adult must accompany the child. Entry is £2 per child, accompanying adults free. Details will be on the Active Fakenham website.

As well as the under 5s races there will be a UK Athletics 5K running race for all levels of runners over 11 years old, and a 1K Fun run with a goody bag for children who complete the course.  This will be followed by a series of British Cycling official Town Centre Criterium cycle racing round a 1km course for most levels.  Entry numbers are limited for all races and people can sign up through the Active Fakenham website.

The events take place on Easter Sunday 1st April 2018. There will be a road closure in place for the day, details of which are on the Active Fakenham website.  The organisers apologise for any inconvenience caused and point out this is designed to be of benefit to the town and local residents as well as promoting the town to visitors
