All runners should receive this email:

Dear Active Fakenham Easter Funday Runner,

I am very pleased to let you know that your place in the Active Fakenham 5k and/or 1K race on Easter Sunday 27th March is now confirmed.  Details can be found on the Active Fakenham website http://www.activefakenham.org.uk/run-fakenham-2016/ and we post on the Active Fakenham Facebook page and Twitter.

Summary

  • When you arrive at the Fakenham Community Centre, Oak St. NR21 9DY, go to the registration desk to collect your number and timing chip.
  • The 5K race sign in desk opens at 12 noon and closes at 1.30pm. There will be a briefing for all 5K runners at 1.40pm at the start line.
  • We are using a chip timing system so you will know your time. We are using chips from Total Race Timing
  • Parking: TESCO and Aldi are allowing all day parking for free. There is free parking a couple of minutes away at the Highfield Road car park.  There is drop off at the Community Centre but very limited parking. Otherwise there are other car parks around the town.  Obviously we do not know how many spectators will be attending and there is also a British Cycling Criterium Race so there may be issues but there is plenty of parking around the town.
  • Public transport in Fakenham is very limited and on a Bank Holiday with a bike The nearest stations are Kings Lynn (22m) and Norwich (26m)
  • Food & drinks will be available in the town centre. There is a barbecue and Thai food stall on the market place but otherwise there are many cafes and pubs in the town centre and part of the reason for the day is to promote the town and its facilities.
  • Each 5K runner will receive a RunFakenham Easter 2016 medal, a bottle of water with 5 days gym membership and a well-earned Easter egg.
  • Remember this is the first day of British Summer time so put your clocks forward.
  • At the time of writing we have spaces left in both the 5K races and the 1K race so why not encourage your family and friends to join in.
  • We plan to have runners of all levels and abilities taking part and have allowed up to one hour for the 5K race and 25 mins for the 1K fun run.

I hope you have a great day enjoying the best of North Norfolk cycling.

I look forward to seeing you there

Best wishes

Richard
